Benefits of a Double Degree
- You get to know two academic systems, receive two degrees.
- All mathematics courses are taught in English. However, you are encouraged to learn Italian free of charge, and you can even use the credit points that you get there for your degree
- Financial support is available through the Erasmus programme.
Rules of the Double Degree
- You do your first year in Darmstadt. Here you pass exams in both your Specializations (Vertiefungen), and participate in two master seminars. This brings you to a total of 46 CP.
- In your second year, you study at the University of l'Aquila. There you have a wide choice of subjects, some of which are not offered in Darmstadt.
- You will also do your Master thesis (worth 30 Credits) in l'Aquila.
- At the end, you will obtain a degree from Darmstadt and one from l'Aquila.
- An example study plan for the combination Probability/Analysis of specialisations is available. But other combinations are possible, just talk to us!
