2. Exam registration
The examination registration period this semester is from June 1 to June 30. Please register for examinations as early as possible so that we can react to any problems during the registration period.
Error messages that we receive after June 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. will not be considered.
PLEASE NOTE:
a) For compulsory and core modules, be sure to register for the technical examination as well as the study examination.
b) In the case of oral examinations, make sure you arrange an examination date in time. For in-depth examinations, you will need a form, which you must request from the officefor student affairs.

3. Welcome Masters!
On Wednesday, 8 April, the information event “Welcome, Masters!” will take place. It is aimed at students who are in their 1st Master's semester (regular or conditional) in the summer semester. Master's students in higher semesters who are still lacking orientation are also very welcome. Bachelor students should be patient until the WOrT, which will take place in May.

4. Welcome, Masters of Education!

5. Elective Orientation Days (WOrT)
The WOrT will take place this year on Thursday, 11 June. from 14:00 – 16:30 and on Monday, 15 June from 14:00 – 15:00. All students in their fourth semester are invited, as well as interested students in their second semester. You will find all further information in good time at: www.mathematik.tu-darmstadt.de/wort
6. Course evaluation
The courses will be evaluated again this semester. You will be informed in good time via the website and by your lecturers. We look forward to your active participation – this is the only way to improve teaching in the department.
7. History seminar: Women in Mathematics for the Studium Generale
Are you still looking for an interesting course for the Studium Generale? Then you should take a look at the History Department! Irene Heinrich (Department of Mathematics), together with a lecturer from the History Department, is offering the (german taught) course “Women in Mathematics” (in module number 02-24-0130).
8. Future of the Geometry Specialisation
Due to restructuring within the Department, the Geometry Working Group is being closed. The core module Differential Geometry will continue to be offered until further notice. If you are planning to specialise in geometry, the summer semester of 2026 is your last opportunity to start this specialisation.
9. RMU
TU Darmstadt, together with Goethe University Frankfurt and Gutenberg University Mainz, forms the RMU university network. This gives you the opportunity to attend courses in Mainz and Frankfurt and, where applicable, to incorporate these into your degree programme. You can find further information on the website:

10. Summer party of the Department of Mathematics
On 17 June the Department of Mathematics celebrates the summer. You are cordially invited to join in the celebrations. Details will be provided later. Bring your own bottle and something to eat!

5. Elective Orientation Days (WOrT)
The WOrT will take place this year on Thursday, 11.06. from 14:00 – 16:30 and on Monday, 15.06 from 14:00 – 15:00.
The event is primarily aimed at students in their fourth semester and offers important information for the final push in the Bachelor's degree and the Master's plan. However, interested students in their second semester are also cordially invited.

6. Evaluation period in summer semester 2026
Lectures and exercises will be evaluated in the period 08.06. – 19.06.2026. As in the previous semester, the evaluations will take place “online in presence”. We look forward to your active participation and feedback – the evaluation is a good opportunity for you to show us areas for improvement
7. Monthly maths updates
Not quite as personal as an office hour, not quite as search-intensive as the websites: from June onwards, there will be an open Zoom session (Meeting ID: 671 3343 5244, code: 326314) on the last Thursday of every month at 4.15 pm, covering topics related to studying maths.
Each session will begin with a brief update from the Office for Student Affairs or the Coordinator of Student Affairs. Afterwards, there will be time for questions – which you are welcome to ask anonymously.
The series kicks off on June, 25th with the topic of specialisation modules. In July, the focus will be on questions regarding oral examinations.

4. Study abroad 2026/2027:

5. Graduation Scholarship for International Students:
Students with international high school or secondary school diploma who are in their final phase of their studies, can apply for a graduation scholarship. Application period is from October 1st until October 31st. More information:

The program is suitable for all specialization combinations and concludes after a total of two years with a degree from TU Darmstadt and a degree from the University of l'Aquila. All information at:

3. New Master Mathematics for the winter semester 2024/25
From the winter semester onwards, we will be offering the fully English-language Master's degree program in Mathematics with the fields of study Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Mathematics interdisciplinary, as well as the new field of study Data Science. It is possible to transfer to the new Master's program with recognition of all previous (also German-language!) achievements. The M.Sc. Mathematics (2018) and M.Sc. Mathematics (2018) degree programs expire.
German-language courses for students on the Master's in Mathematics (PO 2018) will continue to be offered.
4. Information event “New examination regulations”
On May 27 from 13:00 – approx. 14:30 there will be an information event in room 244 on the new examination regulations, including the new field of study “Data Science”.
