I am a research scientist in the Algebra Group and part of the DFG-Projekt Geometry and Arithmetic of Uniformized Structures.

Research Interests

My research examines the intersections between Number Theory and selected areas of Mathematical Physics, particularly within Conformal Field Theory. Specifically, my focus lies on Automorphic Forms, infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, and Vertex Algebras. These mathematical objects are closely intertwined, due to their connections with Modular Forms.

A very nice article about Modular Forms and their importance in mathematics has recently been published by the Quanta Magazine.

“There are five fundamental operations in mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and modular forms.” -- Martin Eichler
