The Student Council is open to everyone and organises its work on a grassroots democratic basis.
At the meetings we form our opinions collectively, on the basis of which the student members of the faculty council and its committees work.
During the meeting there is usually a snack and afterwards we can either play board games or do something together that has been planned in advance.
There are a lot of regularly recurring topics at the student council meeting, such as the organisation of the “Hochschul- und Berufsorientierungstage” (hobit), the orientation week (OWO), the “Wahlpflichtorientierungstage” (WOrT), the preparation of the various department council and committee meetings, the implementation of campaigns for student criticism of courses and much more. For the universtity elections , we draw up a list of candidates for the student representatives on the Faculty Council.
Of course, not all the work is done at the meeting itself.
The main thing is to make sure that issues are not forgotten and that people are found to take care of them and report on them regularly at the student council meeting.
