Maths Choir

The Maths Choir is, as the name suggests, a choir made up mainly (but not exclusively) of mathematicians.

The Maths Choir meets for 2 hours every week during term time to rehearse songs for the Christmas Party, Graduation Party, Maths Music Evening or other performances, as well as just to have fun singing.

The Maths Choir has a wide repertoire, ranging from “Last Night of the Kings” (Van Canto) to “It's my Life” (Bon Jovi), “It's Raining Men” (The Weather Girls) and “Barbara Ann” (Beach Boys) to “Viva la Vida” (Cold Play), as well as more serious music such as Rheinberger's “Abendlied” or Bruckner's “Locus Iste”. The Maths Choir is also known for its maths songs such as “Epsilon”, “Die konvenxe Hülle” or “Ewiglich wahr”, which was written for an OWO theatre, among others.

The choir currently has around 50 members and sings an exciting polyphonic a cappella repertoire. However, despite its aspirations to make great music, it is expressly a choir for beginners and everyone is welcome to join.

So if you are interested and enjoy singing, come along to a rehearsal soon.
