Arithmetic theta series.

Abstracts

Don Zagier: TBA.

Steve Kudla: In this talk I will give a survey of the evolution of the theory of theta series through three stages: classical theta series, geometric theta series and finally arithmetic theta series. I hope to show that the arithmetic theory, which is still largely conjectural, develops in a natural way from more classical cases. Time permitting, I will finish with a discussion of some open problems.
