On the L^p-theory of elliptic operators in divergence form

Given a second-order elliptic operator in divergence form with complex, bounded and mea-
surable coefficients, we investigate its L^p-theory by studying the range of exponents where the
associated heat semigroup is uniformly bounded in L^p. This talk provides a brief overview on
explicit improvements for this range of exponents.
