Some Algorithmic Problems in Polytope Theory

Why are some symbols not displayed correctly?

This could be the case if you have an older browser version running.

The page you requested is in XHTML 1.0 (Transitional) format (see the web pages of the World Wide Web Consortium). So far, not every browser understands this format. The newer versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla support it, while older versions of Netscape don't. The reason for choosing this format is that it supports direct typesetting of simple mathematical symbols.

If you have a browser that does not display the symbols correctly, you might want to try the symbol version which is in HTML 3.2 format and uses the symbol font to typeset mathematics. This version, however, does not work for all browsers and for some you have to install this font (see the comments there).
