I will teach Algorithmic Discrete Mathematics at TU Darmstadt this summer
January 25, 2013: Introduced perpetual beta of polymake.
A first draft of the lecture notes on Lattice Polytopes (joint with Christian Haase and Benjamin Nill) is avaliable
winter term 2012: Herbstschule Tropische und Polyedrische Kombinatorik.
March 19, 2012: We have released version 2.12 of polymake.
March 20, 2012: Precompiled binaries available for Mac 10.7 and 10.6 (10.8 still has some technical problems).
Research areas
  • geometric combinatorics
  • combinatorial commutative algebra
  • toric geometry
  • triangulations/decompositions of lattice polytopes
  • discrete optimization
  • algorithms and mathematical software
  • symmetry
Projects
  • Decompositions of lattice polyhedra
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Priority Program "Algorithmic and Experimental Methods" funded by the German Research Council (DFG SPP 1489).
My project is concerned with mathematical and algorithmic aspects of various types of decompositions of lattice polytopes.
  • Mathematical software I am a developer for the software system polymake for computations in combinatorial geometry and related fields.
