Welcome to the website of the AG Geometry and Approximation of the Mathematics Department at the TU Darmstadt!

Our AG consists of two professors, one assistant professor, 9 PhD students and one secretary. We work on topics related to Differential Geometry and Approximation Theory. One part has its focus on geometric variational problems (like surfaces of constant mean curvature or Willmore surfaces), the other part works on questions how to approximate geometric objects well and efficiently (geometric modeling, approximation theory).
