The first Workshop on General Algebra (Arbeitstagung Allgemeine Algebra) took place in the winter term 1970/71 at the TU Darmstadt. It has since been organized two times every academic year at different universities in Central Europe. In the winter term 1995/96 the Conference of Young Algebraists was founded at the University of Potsdam and has then been held every year in combination with the Workshop of General Algebra.
Just before the beginning of the AAA75 on Friday morning, 10.30 – 12.00 a.m., there will be a special colloquium in honour of the 70th birthday of Rudolf Wille, the founder of the Arbeitstagung Allgemeine Algebra. The invited address will be given by Pirmin Stekeler-Weithofer (Institut für Philosophie, Universität Leipzig) on "Informale und Formale Logik in der Mathematik".
The topics of the conference are the traditional algebraic areas of the AAA conferences series:
The program consists of 50 minute invited lectures given by
and a larger number of 20-minute contributed talks.
In such talks, participants are encouraged to present interesting results of their recent research in algebra and related areas. Abstracts of those talks will be collected and distributed to the audience.
If you plan to give a talk, please send your abstract using the Atlas abstract submission form by October 19, 2007.
The regular conference fee amounts to 30 Euro (students pay a reduced fee of 10 Euro). Please pay the fee in cash during the conference at our conference office.
